a french guy and american girl..do you know?

Ok so I live in the US. I am 21 yrs old. I met a french guy where I work when he came to the US. It was his first time here. He is 24 yrs old. When he met me the first night he tried asking me out to drink and eat pizza within the first 10 mins of seeing me. So we get on the computer I pull up the internet and find a translate website. We start chatting. He is so sweet saying super nice things. So we are trying to have a conversation and doing pretty well for the language barrier.. I'm getting off work and we set a date to go for qa walk on the beach a few days later. So the next day at work was basically the same except he came over and handed me a present.. It was a toy for my kitty. I thought it was so sweet because I adore my cat, and we talked about our pets. So we talk more later basically all the same he is making sure we are hanging out when planned. So on the night of the walk I show up at my work and he is waiting for me and he pulls out a piece of paper.. I had worked that morning at 7:30am he had gotten on the computer at 5am to write down a few things he wanted to say to me..(I don't speak french but love it) among the few things were.. Its nice to meet you I hope kitty liked the toy and something about I love you. So we get to walkin on the beach and such and we are having a blast he learned how to say I'm very happy from the computer also.. He said that a lot we smiled and giggled non stop. So about an hour in we started holding hands.. He is such a gentleman and so polite great manners. About 2 hrs in it got to a point where we stopped looked at the stars then looked at each other we smiled and I thought he was leaning in to kiss me so I go to kiss him and he stopped me in the sweetest way someone could ever stop you from kissing it was so gentle then he kissed me on the cheek. Its was the sweetest kiss it was so gentle.. Very different. So about 20-30mins later he stops walking pulls me to him and kisses me for real. It was amazing. And for the next 2-3 hours we are walking laughing smiling looking at each other every 2 seconds and kissing every couple of minutes. Oh to get to the sad part.. He is going back home the next morning..so that was a few weeks ago and we e mail each other back and forth at least 3 times a day. So here is what I want to know.. He mentioned moving here.. He has 2 children ..he is looking for a new place to live in france..and he and the mother of the children split 2 months before he met me but he always says I love you and big kisses in french through the e mail. He tells me he misses me and so on.. All the good sweet things.. What I want to know is what does this mean? He says he isn't married to her but you can never be sure.. What would you do in this situation? Is he for real? Or is it all fake?
